SACRED CONNECTION AND PARTNERING
WORDS THAT TAKE US THERE THROUGH JOURNALING AND POETRY
October
16, 17, 18th
with Robert Mcdowell
What happens when we feel genuine connection with ourselves and others? What happens when that connection is severed or when the connection we hoped for is disappointed in some way? When disappointed or hurt we often withdraw or pull back from speaking our truth. Or we speak our truth in anger, not at that moment able to hold the situation from a broader place of understanding or compassion. We may even stop talking.
Words fail. Communication ends. Connection is severed.
It doesn’t have to be that way! We have the possibility of expression and compassionate connection. We can learn to express ourselves AND hold ourselves and others compassionately.
Take time to explore connection with yourself and with others. By entering into a place of real listening, authentic sharing and inner reflection you have an opportunity to appreciate the wonder and uniqueness of each human soul. We all need this kind of listening, sharing and reflection to birth what is within us. Workshop participants will discover their own personal, empowering expression through their journaling and poetry, which will be inspired by dozens of original, fun writing prompts and a wide range of well-known poetry and prose.
Thomas Merton wrote, “It is a glorious destiny to be a member of the human race…If only we could see ourselves as we really are…I suppose the big problem would be that we would fall down and worship each other.”
Deepen your relationships, and enrich your spiritual practice!
Fee for the workshop: $385 which includes food, lodging and cost of the workshop.
The workshop begins at 6 pm on Friday night and will finish by 3 pm on Sunday.
